Mantine is one of my favourite pokémons and when i saw one in the trailer my mind went crazyt.
btw
supposing that mantine will be in the Aloladex of USUM and supposing that move tutor will be there too do you think that mantine could have any role in the future VGC?
I think yes because:
>It can learn tailwind, bodyguard and icy wind (this one only by move tutor)
>It has a decent ability in water absorb so he can enter safely on water moves and recover itself
>It had a huge +20hp buff in gen7 and access to roost (i don't think roost will be used a lot on doubke btw)
the only lack is the x4 weakness to electric moves but it could be helped by a lighting rod pokémon like an alolan Marowak (that could be protected by mantine with bodyguard from moves like earthquake or rockslide).
What do you think guys?

True but Charizard was still in the game as a pokemon that Red used in his battle, even outside of the tree, I imagine this time they'll add both to the dex itself
