It is a top tier pokemon in every game it is in, she is loved and she has a whole thread on vp dedicated to her for EVERY SINGLE WEEK. how many threads you frogfags and shitnaughtfags have? NONE. Okay? Don't fucking come at us. Delphox is a frekaing queen, the mage theme is perfect but of course that fucking frog HAD TO STEAL ITS HIDDEN HABILITY from her! Protean had total sense for Delphox and fucking SAKURAI stole the fucking idea for that abomination. Just thinking of that again makes my heart explode, seriously. Delphox is fucking amazing in the game, the fire/psychic combination is god send (HELLO Psychic terrain) and it can steal your goddamn life orb and shred it to pieces. TAKE THAT. How can you not love her?

You can say Blaziken/Serperior won by virtue of being better competitively, but then what OP says is inconsistent with the other two starters in their picture since both Empoleon and Decidueye have always been worse than Infernape and Primarina in that sense. Infernape also made an appearance in the anime, whereas Empoleon didn't.

Yes it does, it means that Nintendo deemed Greninja to be the favourable choice, EG what would resonate best with audiences. Same reason why Charizard is in smash rather than the other two Gen 1 starters.

Delphox is less popular than Braixen, if anything, that one guy winning a pokken tournament with Braixen to get more porn of it was the greatest achievement of the line.

And you seem to misunderstand, I would be much happier with gen 6 if Braixen was the most popular, because it is my personal favourite. But it's not the most popular, Promotionfrog is.
