That's what I based him around. Bolt/Beam/Blast coverage + Psychic hits a shit ton of mons. He'd essentially be a stronger, faster, physically bulkier Nidoking with fewer weaknesses.

Just add 40 to his base attack

Normal types were completely ruined in gen 4 when everybody and their mother gained 120 BP STAB, not to mention that dragons took their place as the "just click your STAB and watch things die" type.

The only way for normal-types to be good is either with dual STAB (Lopunny) or with retarded stats and ability (Kangaskhan, Chansey). Besides that, there' just no place for them anymore.
