I've got a husband and wife duo.
Jake Redbud's a researcher with a bad taste in hair do's, as much luck as an absol, and tunnel vision worse thats more like straw vision. But at least hes still rather kind and smart in a pokemon sense.
Tess meanwhile is hot headed, stubborn, and somewhat of a bitch. But she's street smart, rather strong, and better aware of her surroundings than Jake.

I can understand complaining about a "not-serious" trainer having a Garchomp, but to be fair starter pokemon are bred to be easy to raise. Anyone having a fully evolved starter wouldn't really be unusual, at least not in my opinion.

Jake's got Tapper the Hypno, who he got at a young age to help combat nightmares. He's also fiercly protective of the Hypno population in the wild, since Tapper probably wouldnt get a warm welcome in Hearthome, a town filled with children.

But I'm bored and this thread is gonna die soon anyway, so I guess I'll babble for a bit.

The Comfey present in both images is her ace pokemon named Sorrel. Cerise works at a flower shop named the "Rainbow Roselia Bouquet", so Sorrel tends to mooch off of the various roses they have there, and add them to her vine, opposed to the typical tropical flowers.

In this image, you'll find a Cherubi clinging on the vine. That'd be Pruny and Pontheus, the larger cherry and the smaller one respectively. Pruny is... for lack of a better term... retarded. She's in control but she's the kind to eat dirt, spit it out, then lick it up again. Pontheus on the other hand is rather smart and self aware, he just has no way of communicating what should be the best option to Pruny as she simply doesn't listen. They're a fun pair.

Back to the couch image, you can see Clyde the mudbray. He wears a plastic crown he got from a bunch of birds. There isn't too much to him, but when I imagine him speaking, I just imagine my nine year old cousin who plays too much roblox and minecraft babbling about.

Then there's Tubs the Spheal. He doesn't have much of a personality, but he's often used as a pillow, kick ball, hose, among other things, all of which he doesn't mind. He has the item leftovers, so he has food in his chubby cheeks at all times.

Last of Cerise's would be Chiffon the Eevee, which is a pomeranian breed. She basically got him as a reward for helping out a dog trainer finding some guy missing in action. His personality is what you would expect from a yip yip dog.


Cerise has a handful more of pokemon she's caught, though it should be noted that she's not the fondest of battling. She doesn't catch pokemon she thinks will be viable together on a team, nor does she often pick moves for them that would benefit in a competitive battle. She's just a typical gal that just so happens to be living in the pokemon world.

Honestly I don't draw mine all the time because they're huge and hard as fuck to draw, and usually I just wanna present a new outfit or design, though I'll often draw Pokemon when they're variants of some sort. I really should draw them more though in general.

This is Maple, kind of an older pic but the only one I have of her fully-evolved ace. "Geddy", short for Armageddon, is basically her little sis and shares an intense passion for battling. It's hard to summarize her personality, but she's not as stupidly brash as her trainer and actually learned to be more discerning and patient during her time as a Pupitar, and as a Larvitar she was just a complete berserker. She is still impulsive and will always strive for style points, and the better a battle goes for her, the more overboard and intense she gets, to the point of needing to be subdued even after things in front of her have been buried. Geddy is also highly competitive and usually tries to prove herself as the biggest and baddest monster in town, but also adores small, cute things such as the Morelull and Lotad that are also in Maple's roster.

So Geddy's basically the same as her trainer but with different aspects more or less emphasized. Her passion for battling is genuine, but her goals tend to shift along with Maple's, since she sees her as a big sister of sorts.

On the subject of theme, I didn't really have one when I started with her, but since her preferences largely line up with my own, she's ended up catching a lot of Rocks and Grounds in quests, as well as huge and monstrous Pokemon in general such as Tyrantrum, Tangrowth, Garchomp, and some still unevolved such as a Deino and a Whirlipede. The ground/rock trend (also Drilbur, Dwebble and Aron) kinda led me to have her swing more towards Underground stuff, since I loved Gen4 and the setting we're in has an "underdark" which is mostly unexplored and intensely brutal towards any who would attempt to. And I just personally love caves and spelunking and that sort of thing.

She started as a total tourneyfag also, born in the city where Pokemon Stadium 2 takes place, still is, but events in the setting have driven her to branch out more, and she'll probably continue drifting away till tourneys don't even interest her much. She's still an utter battle junkie, but that doesn't need to necessarily be league-format (which she still has fun with, specializing in doubles).

I may or may not have watched Made In Abyss recently and got really fucking inspired to speed along this planned development of hers.

I feel like you're baiting but I got nothing else going on tonight.
It's a bunnysuit because that's a motif in pretty much all her outfits, I just like 'em. The window's only there because it seemed like the best shape for those garments to take, cleavage isn't even a thing if you're flat and even if she had them the window's probably too high. The ears and tail are accessories, they are fake and immobile. The only animal "ears" she has are these hair things when there's no hat on, which just change position from emotion because it's a silly anime thingy.

Also the cameltoe looks like it was a line I didn't completely erase from the pants part. I swear that everyone else sees more cameltoes on my characters than I do, that's pretty miniscule even if it was intentional.

She can't, at least not much. Plays some on a laptop that she can use a stylus for, and she can probably play things with simple controls and button-mash but other than that she's sunk.

I guess I should talk about her a little, this is Wendy. She's a dorky, overly gutsy tomboy, personality-wise. Lost her limbs to infection about two years ago, used to be a really good runner and was mainly interested in human sports. She was in a big slump after the operation for a while, but with the help of her ace (at the time a pet more or less), Stratofort the Pelipper, she found a new drive in Pokemon battling, and started to do it for fun. A few scenarios in, she noticed her Pokemon would perform intricate orders without actually needing them described, and in one case move while asleep while she was mounted on them; basically, her immobility and dependence on her Pokemon has helped her start to unlock some affinity with Aura, which for the time being allows her to relay orders indirectly and, while mounted, function as a targeting computer of sorts and increase move accuracy. She still goes to a gym to work out what's left of her body, so that she doesn't get fat and can move half-decently without getting winded too quickly. But she also spends more time indoors than she used to, so she watches a lot of anime in her spare time. She and Cerise were childhood friends, and are now roommates.

Her Pokémon in >>33525642 are the Staraptor and the wierd Ivysaur.
The Ivysaur, Zakkum, was described by the GM who awarded him as a purple "oleander variant", and I decided for egg moves that his father was a Tangrowth, hence his appearance. He can open his flower up a bit to seat Wendy inside. Easy-going and confident. Is the least likely to oppose Wendy's dumber, riskier strats.
Apex is the Staraptor, overprotective and motherly towards Wendy, and most nights will build a pillow fort/nest around her. She is also chivalrous and likes to fight more than most of her teammates.

Everyone in this setting tends to bond most strongly with their first Pokemon, taking on many traits of each other if they weren't already very much alike. People tend to go through many Pokemon before finally finding one that sticks with them as their first. In Arthur's case, a Froakie, and both of them were resentful of being stuck in one corner of the world. They're both also ver uncertain about what they should be, since Protean means a Froakie can become every time, so that's one reason he's adventuring across the three subregions known collectively as the Three Realms.

Very cute team. The rest of Arthur's pokemon is too much for my friend to draw and I'd rather he draw the other trainers in our PTU campaign if he had the time. First is Floyd the Frogadier, his comrade in all things and fellow traveller. Next is Sanagi, a Honedge that likes attaching herself to him a bit too much. Auri the Deino, rather gentle despite what you'd expect from the species, and Dovoi the Togetic, much more conniving than you'd think for a cute fairy type, found in an egg on a mirage island, where the water gym is.

I don't have a name for his Exeggute yet, but the image of him wandering across plains with an Exeggutor following him is nice, possibly even having berries planted on it for food. His Growlithe was passed from trainer to trainer and pretty much unwanted until he came along and took her in.

Grim is ridiculously good at battling (he's basically god-mode at predicting how the opponent is going to act that's like his Pokemon Special gimmick)- too bad he's basically a functional retard. Super excitable and loving, but just... dumb.
Shelly is his loving girlfriend, who is also very excitable, but on the other end of the spectrum. Chose Cyndaquil as her starter because a fire creature is just a no brainer if you're going on a camping adventure. (Grim chose totodile because it danced for him).
The regional professor is studying pokemon genealogy and accidentally created the pokemystery/pokegod by fucking a psychic pokemon.
The regional bad guys are trying to catch the magic pokegod for nefarious reasons.
The regional "Rival" is just a poor guy with a hero complex who is completely at the end of his rope because of all the institutionalized crime going on, so he ends up ruining everyone's day trying to help.
I made it a sequel to GSC, so at one point they meet Bugsy who's in drag because he lost a bet to Gold, but I never got that far. A lot of stupid shit happens.

It's actually funny in a stupid way, and maybe someday I'll upload it.

Then one time I wrote a gen 4 comic where the MC just follows an OCC Pearl around and keep getting interrupted by a Team that is NOT PLASMA, FUCK YOU- then it turns out that OCC Pearl was possessed by a pokegod the whole time and it ends with MC fighting possessed OCC GodPearl after it wrecks the Elite 4 and sows chaos. Also stupid funny, but I never got that far either.

Started as a Larvitar of course, was just a gift when she was really young, like 3. She grew up in Stadium 2's White City, and her father was a renowned tournament-level competitive battle, so he knows how to obtain things like that. That's not to say a Larvitar isn't rare, but his only daughter was well worth it, and he wanted her to start out strong nice and early.

She actually was still a Larvitar when Maple came into our setting at age 10 (now 11, not 12), evolved to Pupitar pretty early, and evolved into Tyranitar last December just in time for a boss battle.

She's actually got quite a few OP mons now, there's an Aegislash too that can take her with it into its own Shadow Sneak.

Mm, when I think of my characters' aces, I try to think about a personality that complements the trainer, and go from there.
So depending on what sort of person Morris is, I would amused if his Lilligant was the sort who would get ecstatic over finding new ruins, and get herself into trouble for recklessly dashing into danger.
