We really need to know the full set before we can say what's good or not. As it stands I'm not sure about the Regi deck. I think it's good/fun rouge but as far as not being a meme it really needs something to push it.

I still want to know what support the Ultra Beasts are getting. They all have a special "Ultra beast" tag but nothing interacts with it. Looking at the set we should have one more item card and maybe two more stadiums. We really do need some better stadiums to match Field Blower.

I can only see Registeel as a tech in Metagross or Solgaleo to try to donk A-Ninetales and Gerdevoir. (And get free prizes out of random A-Vulpix).

Now, really, how would that deck even work?

Any stage 2 deck can get around Regice since Lele is pretty much mandatory.

Best case scenario, you reach 160 with Registeel with a bench filled with Regirock and Choice Band. Even then, you need at least 2 attachments. And that requires you to run counter energy and get behind on prizes.

If you count Regigigas, it would be easier to pull it off with ability lock than filling your bench with Guzma bait. Even then, 5 energy is ridiculous.

Regigigas is shit, just guys like DarkIntegral will play it for being a Regi.

I was thinking that the deck is somewhat like just play the Registeel to return energy like a baby volc and hit for 30~120 (Weakness/Band) in the early and the others guys will be doing the damage real damage (Ice/Rock/Exs/Gxs). (With 4 rainbow, 1~2 counter and the rest water/fighting)

The other way (and most common) is Registeel like the guy making damage and just attack with Regice vs a Gard/Volc fueling them with rainbow or counter. (4 rainbow, 1~2 counter/DCE and the rest metal)

One Marshadow in both decks in case of not attacking with Regirock and some Glaceon/Jolteon too.
Anyway, depend entirely of the meta and I don't think that will work much vs non weakness decks.

Eh, they're all above average cards except Nihilego so far. Buzzwole is basically a better Landorus-EX, Guzzlord will wreck at prerelease and is playable as a meme, Kartana is actually pretty decent.

Nihilego could be good in a more basic heavy meta, but guzma being everywhere makes special conditions weak in general. I could still see it in expanded as a one of in some toad variants.

Run Metal, Fire, Water, and Grass and you're covering most of the major weaknesses in the game. Assuming you run 2 of each, that's taking up eight slots which isn't too bad considering these are the only tools Silvally should be running. This can easily be its own deck with a heavy Silvally line, maybe 1 Marshadow to hit Fighting-type weaknesses easier, a few Lele, and Skyla to search out the correct tool you need. The basic Silvally that also was revealed lets you search out tools, so a 3-1 split could be used. It gets even better in expanded with Eco Arm. 240 damage on an attacker that can also setup your bench is crazy good.

I like baby A Ninetales but it lacks attacking power and decks that run non-EX/GX attackers make things difficult. I'd recommend replacing 1-2 with Ninetales GX and replacing the Sandslash lines with Octillery ones instead.

Pikachu can actually hit 230 damage which is the magic number vs Gard GX. 4 lightning energy and 1 choice band. It can even hit 250 for the metagross and even meme deck solgaleo gx. The problem is streaming energy consistently as I have seen many players miss an energy or 2. In theory it sounds amazing. Can 1 shot all the baddies like gard gx, volc, golisopod. Personally Streaming energy is very difficult and you can easily lose missing that vital knockout. Garbotoxin makes the deck cry as well, if your field blowers get discarded or you whiff them good game.

Now the reason you are seeing them all over recently is because of Derium's youtube channel which recently showcased the Magnezone Deck. Yes people are drones and will follow the next flavor of the week. Try flipping some magnezones or pikachu exs, easy profit since they are so cheap

I just had someone win a match by decking me with Charizard GX's Raging Out.

He more or less completely ignored boardstate until I was at 10 left, then just dunked on me and dropped the mic.

Probably the most stylish victory I've lost to.

It's not hard. A lot of people start with Pikachu Packs and trade them off for cheap rares like Garb, Talonflame, Typhlosion, etc and then trade those for card packs (usually 2+ per pack). Then you can trade those packs for cheap EX/GX cards that are worth about 2 packs each, buying them for 1 and then selling them for 2 or 3 if you're lucky. Flip those for a while, then once you build up a big enough stock you can move up to more expensive cards. It's notf a super quick process but I've built up my stock over about a month and I even skipped the Pikapack stage by using packs from theme tournaments. Look at the value guides in the OP to get a basic idea of what things are worth, but ideally you want to be checking the trades on PTCGO yourself to see how the market looks for the card you are trying to flip.

TPCi has to do another print run on Ace spec cards. Expanded has a much larger presence in more regions, there is no excuse for the quality of some highly sought after and highly played cards like Computer Search. I'll pay the upwards of 30 to 40 bucks if I can get a decent quality copy.

I converted all my (18ish) BUS packs into cards because some guy a few threads back said the market was starting to crash. I bought basically 1 of anything that goes for >1 that you can still buy for 1, then either flipped them all into twice as many GRI, or into FA Metagross and did >>33519348 >>33519486. (Still looking for 1 more FA Guzma, if anybody wants to punt some fairy challenge chumps with Metagross/Necrozma.)

The only thing he can do is hit it with metang and that takes so much time that you can guzma the fucker and kill it. Alola Ninetales suffers the most against Gardevoir because Gallade will kill it and you'll have a hard time hitting for 250 enough times to beat the deck.

Expanded is not meant to be a supported format over time. It's just there to please people who don't like the idea of their cards becoming useless with rotations.

TPCi wants to see players frustrated with expanded so that they jump into standard.

Of course, they still hold tournments so that it doesn't become an ignored format. That also ensures staples keep getting more expensive and make sealed products cheap in comparison. It also keeps the secondary market interested in the game and indirectly promoting it.
