I'm clearly talking about gen 6 to gen 7, not gen 5 to gen 6. Carrying over Zygarde and not doing a damn thing with it is exactly the type of shit I'm talking about. So now XY feels unfinished and SM feels rushed. If USUM is trash, that will be 2 gens in a row that were ruined from that one decision by GF

Why? For what it's worth, they could have just released USUM as the original sun and moon and released only that for gen 7. Then have the year break in 2018 and move onto the switch. I would have much preferred that over what we got.

How Zygarde was "resolved" in SM was pathetic. Fetching 100 cells and only be granted with an exclusive ability tied battle form of Zygarde was anticlimactic and dull. Dog form is nice, though. Wish USUM simply gives Perfect Zygarde Aura Break by default

Gamefuck can't figure out how to make Mega evolutions, online play/battling, and the power creep cohesive, and they still make videogames tailored to a younger audience, even though the original games were harder and the fanbase has aged slightly.

That's why there's no new Megas. Everything's out of whack. Sun/Moon wasn't great but still tried some new ideas, but USUM seems to be a standard third version. They barely even add new Pokemon anymore. The 3D models were incorporated because it makes churning out games easier, no more sprites. The series jumped off a cliff after gen V, the last true experience.

I don't mind it not really being the spotlight or having much of a presence in SM, though what I do mind is that the complete form is simply just a gimmick form tied to an ability instead of being buildable and possible form to change at will like the 10 & 50% forms

imo It would have been fine if we got an explaination about why Zygarde was in Alola after collecting all the cores and cells, but they didn't even give us that much. It felt like GF ended that sidequest on a cliffhanger, which is what bothered me the most.

I would guss that future games after gen 7 probably just will grant the player a full cube or hopefully that gimmick just stays exclusive to gen 7. Another gimmick that is shit is the whole zen mode ability it got, finding 100 cells only to not keep the perfect form is fucking lame
