how many pokemon would actually be improved by becoming dragon type and gaining Draco Meteor? Aside from obvious shit like Contrary users, not many. Water is better than Dragon. Hell, Dragon isn't even 4th place, that's either Electric or Flying. Even fucking Fire is a better type than Dragon. Dragon just seems good because it has a lot of high BST monsters, but really it's one of the worst types.

Fire-types tend to be fragile attackers with limited coverage.
Water-types only need Ice Beam and a bunch of them has solid bulk with a Stealth Rock neutrality. The only thing that walls Water/Ice coverage is another Water-type, which makes Water-types even better.

Dragon is mediocre now. Offensively, its probably inferior to Dark and Flying, as those types lack an immunity against them. Its slightly a better Normal type if anything.

Defensively its okay, but can't hold a candle to Water and maybe even Poison.

Its only saving grace is the pokemon. Nothing else.
