The game still runs like absolute garbage and is unrefined 3d sonic with a gimmick. That gimmick will be the only thing saving this game from being completely dragged through the mud. Sega stopped being able to make good sonic 2 decades ago.

I suspect the OC was originally intended to be Boom Sonic. The grappling hook, the OC's lankiness, the pre-announcement promotional art that featured all three Sonics.

nah they'd probably upscale the xy materials and normal map them, and change some materials that only worked with 3ds shaders. s/m but more akin to pokego textures

did a few render tests with a few gen 6/7 models with slight touch ups, GF really did make these future-proof
