Make something that's not about monster BATTLES but rather about something else. Platformer racing or something, kinda like Runbow maybe. Or literally anything. Make it anything but a JRPG and you might do decently with it in sales. Also, contact PS once you get a Kickstarter or something and see if you can get it on PS4, they tend to be welcoming to indies; and it's easy to port to PS Vita from there. And, if the rumors are true, you might be able to port it to the prospective PS hybrid handheld. It all just depends.
