I like to be smart about how I expend my money on a hobbie that isn't really cheap, I was really excited for this when it was announced, but the lack of new is making me worry that this will be just the exact same as Sun and Moon, and not something like Black and White 2.

I really don't know if I pick this or samus return as my last 3ds game, I'm not sure about neither because AM2R is a thing and I already stated my point about the pokemon game.

Pokémon isn't Zelda.
We ALWAYS had barriers and shit, barriers like trees that required an HM or plot related.
BW was especially linear, but the other games were linear as fuck too, they only give the impression that they are not because some routes cross each other, but the first time you travel you can only go from A to B.

I don't know, I just get some good vibes from this new director. In one short video he's instilled more confidence in me than the past few years of Masuda.
Masuda's general public presence is "haha I don't know XD, more than 10 new Pokemon LOL, ooh, I don't know about more than 40 hours of gameplay, don't get your hopes up, we don't listen to fans, kids just want to play candy crush XD"
Iwao seems to actually take pride in what he's doing. The fact that he went on a lot about how much he enjoyed the project and how they've expanded on every area of the game is really refreshing, it gives me reason to believe that a bit more love and passion has gone into these games.
