Up to the second gym.
The game felt like it was going to be ridiculously huge.
Then after that point the gyms were thrown at you one after the other.
So If i have to say something nice. Up to the second gym was my favourite out of any pokemon game.

Why doesn't GF just put a little more effort from the get-go and release games like RS with Emerald trainer teams, Frontier, and overworld changes, DP with improved battle speeds and its Frontier, BW with BW2's areas, XY with whatever Z would have to offer, and SM with USM's gameplay changes and features?
I can see why third versions usually sell less than the original duos, even if they're more refined. Pretty much every Pokemon game is unfinished and gets a DLC patch of sorts with the pricetag of a full game.
