Long story short. These games didn't get that much info or press at first, but they got significant info during the last 2 months prior to release.
The lack of USUM news up to now is not unusual as far as third versions go. Expect a lot of info of USUM to surface during the next few months.

We have 2.5 months before these games come out. By this time in past gens, Emerald wasn't even revealed, we only got info on two formes and an event in Platinum, and two formes, an event, and a promise of a new story for B2W2.
All these games turned out to be great, and we got significantly more info during the 2-month period prior to release.

Yes, but if gen 7 taught us anything, it's that we can't expect USUM to be good just because all 3rd games before gen 6 were good. These are gonna suck, and if they don't, I'll eat a bug and post pics, no joke.

These remastered versions or sequels or whatever the hell they are rarely ever have any vast changes. Everyone is wanting following pokemon, new alola forms and megas, PWT and all this other shit. This is all setting up for massive disappointment

Alola forms aren't necessarily off the table since ORAS retconned the series with new Megas. USUM is confirmed to have new Z-Moves, so regional variants (the other new feature) are very possible.
The other stuff is unlikely to be in the game. The point I'm making though is that we shouldn't be disappointed in these games just because there's no news yet.

Hey OP, thanks for making the thread and putting things into perspective. I was getting concerned with the lack of information on these games. Glad to see it's nothing too unusual.
