Haven't played Pokemon in ages. Last game I played was Pearl. I was wondering if it were possible to transfer up through the generations?
Like for example
Red > Gold
Gold > Ruby
Ruby > Pearl
Pearl > Black
Black > X
X > Sun
This is using all original hardware and everything for the respective generation.

Now pokebank is compatible with the VC rereleases of RBY, not with the GS VC games though

5 dollars for a year subscription to Pokebank, which is a cloud storage system for your Pokemon. You can put them in with one game, then take them out with another. You can also send Pokemon to it from the VC releases of gen 1 and 2, since you can't transfer them in otherwise.
