Shur, but they stopped ever since the 20th movie. Shur sugimori loved his cat, and gave it some good attention, and even went above and beyond to with it's story so it could be remembered as the one fire starter that had the best but most tragic back story. but I think that's it. Shur they'll give him time to shine in the future like, evolving, getting new Z-move,like every other pokemon in the main gang. But aside from promotion by special evolutions or making appearances in other games out side of the main games. Or further shilling to the litter line in general, it's pretty much over. Littens arc already past. And now they are moving on to other pokemons that they can actually market, like lycanroc Dusk(which failed pretty badly by they) or Rowlet and Decidueye, even with all the gifts that Littens been getting, and how many times they tried to make Rowlet look like a joke, Both it and Decidueye have just been getting more popular in the back. And I think even GF noticed that. Why do you think there is a lot of Rowlet merchandise, when Duck only got like what? Two, one, even Decidueye is getting shilled from the back it made an appearance in pokken when Rowlet In the anime hasn't even gotten it's own arc yet.

Sugimori loves his cat, but even he can take and acknowledge the simple fact that it's not that marketable.

But just to show you it's just my opinion, and I'm not saying this for supporting reasons or trying to cause what people call here in /VP/ starterwars, I really like the Littens line, they are really cool and tuogh, and Litten was my second starter choice in my second copy of moon. I even hunted for a shiny Litten that I fully evolved and use in battle spot. I have great love for the line. But, I was in the boat with chespin back in XY. And the moment I noticed that greninja was the cool one. And chesnaught was supposed to be the tough one, I knew where the root was going. I just exempteded it.

I see where you're coming from, but I feel like they're sticking to Incineroar. Decidueye being more popular than they imagined is obvious, being in Pokken is a sign of that to be fair, to represent that. I think they're keeping to the seeming plan of evolving Litten as the powerhouse/big support to Ash-Lycanroc/Dusk Lycanroc being the cool mon. Mostly, because ROWLET seems to be the true breakout starter even if people like Decidueye. Rowlet's form is too cute and even more plush-worthy/marketable than anything else this generation or even the last. It's even cuter than Piplup is, which is saying something.

It's not so much Decidueye being unpopular as Rowlet being *THAT( popular, which means they seem to be evolving Incineroar as "starter that happens to evolve this generation" and Special Snowflake Lycanroc seemingly being the actual Alola mascot this gen. But *everyone* loves Rowlet itself, and GF seems intended to focus on that. So pretty much that it's basically Rowlet being so marketable they're throwing bones to Decidueye with Pokken and seem to have Litten evolve so SOMETHING from starters evolves in the anime.

Rowlet's line will probably have the last laugh being the most popular starter and memorable one from Alola once future generations are in play a la Typhlosion's line from Johto or Empoleon's from Sinnoh, which will give it actual longevity and popularity.
