That stopped being a thing in Gen3 onward.
Only in Gen2 did the same bytes that determined stats determined gender.

I did one Wondertrade as soon as I got the Plaza, and recieved Shellder with Icicle Spear and Skill Link. Not ideal nature but definitely competitive, stapled to my team.

I just beat Gladeon on the mountain before the league, and did a couple Wondertrades.
Some shitmon->Mimikyu with a retard name holding a life orb, kept the orb
some shitmon->Shiny Charizard with Solar Power, Timid nature and all around good stats. Owned by an actual person named Conner, which is better than a retard name like AUSLOVE.
some shitmon -> Marshadow. Jolly with Life Orb, level 100, Japanese OT location pokemon Movie 17

Overall very happy with what few trades I did obviously
Sure I'm gonna blast through whatever's left on the game but damn not bad gen 7 has been kind so far

Not sure what to use as my final hall of fame team.

Excellent taste. I used half that team in my very first black run, and two of the others on your team in my second run.

In soul silver I got feraligator, bellossom, vulpix (will evolve eventually) noctowl, and Arbok. Still deciding on a last mon, I'm on the 4th gym, I got strength on my Arbok, cut for bellossum and surf for my starter. I just want rock smash on my main team for my last mon and the rest of the HM moves will be for a Hm slave. Any suggestions?

I'm playing Emerald and I'm just done with the League, now I must catch more mons and grind a little bit for the Battle Frontier
Slaking is so strong that I don't even know why I bother using anything else

Nope, my team was able to deal with everything pretty well, Poliwrath was the MVP for sure (strong, reliable, and hypnosis to catch everything along the way). Umbreon was not very useful until the end of the game (dominated elite four). Dratini was pretty useless the whole game, though Dragonite is incredibly useful in post game with elite four grinding to level other pokemon. If I could go back I would replace Dratini with someone else.

This is the team I used for Blaze Black. Aside from Serperior, I tried to use some more oddball mons and I had a lot of fun.

I can't get into any Team or Nuzlocke thread because seeing pokemon nicknames makes me physically shudder. I can feel it just thinking about. I can't blame anybody but myself but I can't help it either. It makes me physically sick.

Virtual Console. It's fine in the end, Scizor is one of my favourites so it's an easy pick, I want to use the VC releases as an opportunity to try a more unfamiliar pokemon.

I nickname my teams but I still understand you to an extent, having pokemon with nicknames in my living dex repulses me. I called my lunala Nebby, as I'm sure many did, but I don't see many more lunala coming my way so I recently stripped its name away for cataloguing.
