But also keep with the Gen1&2 adjustment:

Would be more interesting in Gen3+ games as you actually can see the abilities there and use them.

The only reason they could get away with giving your gen 1 and 2 pokemon their hidden abilities and some good IVs is because those pokemon didn't HAVE abilities originally, and the DV system is different from IVs. They're not going to do gen 3 VC or rereleases that overwrite attributes of your original pokemon upon transfer when they don't need to.
