you know what I don't like about this thing? It's just a fucking toucan. That's it. They drew a real life toucan and made it cartoony. Seriously, it looks like someone took my mom's toucan and put it in the game.

Older pokemon actually had personalities to them. They had quirks that separated them from actual animals. This thing? It's. Just. A. TOUCAN

Toucans actually are terrible at flying. They hop from tree branches to pluck off berries and other fruits but they're also very skilled at catching falling food with their long beaks, explaining Toucannons low speed and skill link ability. However, Toucans are still omnivores and will eat small insects, lizards, birds and eggs if they find them, this also adds protein to their diet. They have also shown to raid the nests of other bird species, stealing their food and killing any young or eggs in them. They also prefer to feed their chicks with insects and the likes. So while they are in some way birds of prey, but not in the sense like raptors, they are mostly frugivores and as such are important dispersal vectors for local plant life. That also explains Toucannons ability to shoot seeds. Lastly, which most of you probably knew, Toucannons ability to use its beak as a cannon, or better said heat it up, comes from real Toucans too. Look it up, it's pretty cool.

Toucannon is one of my favorite pokemon, and the only bird pokemon I've ever kept on team, no matter how much I tried. I always call mine Barbary, and they're a fucking tank. Fire and fighting moves really round him out, and really make him viable beyond the initial first part of the game.
