Most of what I feel like talking about is Pokémon and I don't want to bore someone to death so liking it is absolutely required and while I do feel the general desire to take care of people I don't want someone who is a drag in any way...

Which would honestly preclude a "signature team" because someone good isn't going to stick with the same thing all the time. They're going to use all of them to learn them.

I have a bunch I use regularly since they debuted (like Machamp in Gen 1 and Togetic in Gen 2) but I don't stick to a set team. I'll often take one or two like that who aren't meta and make a team around them that can help them handle the meta.

A signature team would be fucking boring and show a complete lack of skill.

Now, look at POGO. It's the most gameplay-less game you can imagine, and everyone still played it simply because it was Pokemon and accessible.
