Snorlax was one of the most prominent Pokémon in VGC this year, Gluttony got a massive buff and it was one of the few Pokémon to get High Horsepower, one of the few viable single target ground moves.

Considering literal hundreds of Pokémon have been introduced since Gen II, the fact that it remains dominant in a major metagame is incredible.

Like someone else said, it is still completely usable, it gets some usage, and gale wings is compatible with Z moves so talonflame gets the strongest priority in the game, and can do so without that first attack being recoiled.

It just isn't the route 1 bird dominating OU any more

It went from UU to BL last gen and was nearly a perfect check to Garchomp.
The only mon that was hurt by being given fairy was Granbull who lost STAB Return/Double Edge and got Play Rough instead.

Dropped further every gen. For what it's worth, the mega's pretty good in UU, and base is literally the most used pokemon in NU, but metal snake deserved better. Shore up tutor fucking when, this and krookodile need that shit.
