Some of my favorite mons are objectively bad too, like my mom's toucan, or edgy venomous snake, or three headed stretched out kiwi, or just a fucking chameleon. But I don't go around pretending they're good designs just because I like them. Samurott is a fundamentally broken pokemon. A quadrupedal swordsman doesn't work, because it has to balance on three limbs to attack and thus has shit mobility. Post all the anime clips you want, it is never seen on two legs in the games (outside of rearing up to attack, but if you want to count that torterra is a biped). Not in refresh/amie, not in the walking animations, not in any of the attacking animations. A mega may change that, but for now, it's a mess. Probably the only quadrupedal pokemon in the entire franchise that would work better as a biped.

This is an objectively bad building design. Even in an animation for children, this would not fly because anyone who lives in the real world knows it couldn't support itself. I'm in one of those rare positions where i fucking LOVE both Frogadier and Greninja.

The foam thing is one of my favorite design quirks, so Frogadier having it made it an instant favorite. But the Tonguescarf not only adds a color contrast that catches my eye even more, but it's such an ingenuosly creative and fitting take that it made me somehow love it as much, if not more than Frogadier. They're both perfect for all the right reasons.
