Orgasmic. The music is fucking great, the visuals were lovely and finding the "middle spot" like that one NPC said was some lighthearted fun. Definitely one of my favourite locations in the franchise.

i can't remember desu... i don't really remember what gen it's from, either. i think it was probably 5. i dunno. up until ORAS, i have played each game several times... unmemorable, i guess.

It was hype. It was a fairly light-hearted beginning to the adventure, but it felt weighted. The music made you feel like your journey was about to begin, and the visuals gave an air of grandiose design to the whole thing. It was a perfect bridge between the setup of the game (first two gyms, limited mon variety, tutorial for beginners, setup of plot) and the actual start of the game. It's a good symbolic piece and it builds the rest of the game up from there. (All of the other bridges help drive home the point that it's a transitory thing, too, and it adds cohesion to the region.)

gen 4 into 5 had the best in game art style for pokemon, the scenes at the beginning of b2w2 especially match the feel of the game perfectly and THAT is what makes the graphics good

Great projection friend. I love low poly shit however gen 5 had some of the shittiest 3D graphics I've ever seen in my life and GF needs to get acquainted with a little something called anti-aliasing.

Really really fucking boring. Gen 5 has the worst locations in any game in the series. The region is more tolerable as a whole than Sinnoh but it's just so forgettable.

Played BW2 first & it was postgame before I saw it, so it was just a longer more underwhelming version of the other two or three bridges I'd already crossed. Realised it was quite cool when I finally got around to playing BW though & was actually going towards Castelia instead of away from it

Back in 2010 when all the trailers were coming out for BW in Japan, I thought it looked really cool because there had never been anything like it in Pokémon at the time. It was also cool to see that Pokémon world design was evolving with the expanded use of 3D graphics. Ultimately, when I played the game in English the next year, it wasn't as great as I had hoped. It was really, really long with nothing meaningful in terms of actual gameplay. You could argue that it was a good place to hatch eggs, but it wasn't anywhere near a daycare. It just felt like an area that was all looks and no substance. There could have been more to it that warranted continued visits and exploration.

I don't really remember how it was the first time, but I still love that place. The music and the overall atmosphere were so comfy.
It was my go-to place whenever I had to hatch eggs during Gen 5.

i still feel chills when i replay and go across this road, just like my first time. you still have a high from the last tough gym, and are on your way to another, even tougher gym with these creatures you're growing attached to. in fact i think this thread encouraged me to replay it. b&w had some of the best routes.

pokemon is about the magic of adventure and i think this captures that perfectly. the soundtrack was amazing too, it encouraged me to pick up the piano all those years ago just so i could play it, and today i have so many compositions under my belt. i guess i sort of went on my own a grand adventure in that regard.
