Ultra eviolite - It doubles the defense and sp.defense of the holding pokemon if this is in the first stage of a 3stage evolutionary line. It doesnt work if the holding pokemon evolves twice by trading (because fuck porygon)

Other than that nothing changes. The only thing that could conceivably use this would be Trapinch, but even then it won't be more useful than Dugtrio except in extremely niche circumstances.

This is the answer every time this thread is made because it's the only correct answer. Why would doubling the defense of a 1st stage suddenly make it usable when it has 2 more stages with higher stats? Most mons like that have such low defense to begin with that doubling it isn't going to do shit. This idea doesn't touch their attack stats so they still won't be able to damage anything, or their speed so they'll still get outsped, or their HP so they still won't be able to take many hits. This thread is pointless.

Because it would be cool that if I like a mon more in their first stage than their other evo stages I could have the posibility of completing the game with them without having to evolve them or having to do a tedious grinding
