Typhlosion is BSOAT. Not having a flying type means less weaknesses and a better design. Charizard isn't even the best of Kanto.

It'd be easier to say the least popular in each generation. Typhlosion wins 2 but Feraligatr is close behind, Mudkip memes and Blaziken are a mixup, Snivy/Oshawott lines are pretty much tied and excluding the clear winner in Rowlet then Decidueye/Primarina are also fairly close. I'd say gens 5 and 7 are the only ones where grass isn't the least popular.
