Salamence was my fav dragon until gen 6 gave it that retard floating animation and hideous mega. Feels bad man. At least it also gave me noivern to replace it.

My nigga. My first starter was Venusaur; Sceptile was my second and, in the span of one Ruby playthrough, became my favorite mon of all time.

Design wise, it's pretty much perfect. Can be majestic and graceful, scary and menacing, dark and mysterious, and potentially even cute all in one Pokemon.

Competitively, I like me some bulky mons, and besides legendaries you don't get much bulkier than an Umbreon. This one's been the wall holding things together on so many teams, especially Nuzlockes. And for a pure defensive wall, it's nice to have one that's sleek and beautiful, instead of a fat blob or a big living fortress like most others of its type.
