Mewtwo just works for me. It really just embodies this concept of a reclusive pokemon of immense power that's spoken of only in whispers and rumours that next to no one has actually seen or heard of, just waiting to be discovered.

My second favorite is Xerneas, just because it feels like it so perfectly fits into nature, and it just beckons the imagination to see it wondering a forest a la Princess Mononoke, with flowers and life springing from where it's stepped.

I have a nostalgic attachment for Ho-oh. It was also the first pokemon thing I ever saw, between it flying over the rainbow when I sift through the channels as a kid, and later Gold version was my very first pokemon game.

I feel like most people forget that Jirachi has an eye on it's torso. It's a cute pokemon, but it's also slightly unsettling which is what makes it my favorite legendary.

Registeel, for me, is the perfect pokemon design. A rigid body, but with sleek, curved arms. It's somewhat unsettling too, especially in the Lucario movie. Shame they FUCKED the design with the XY model. Still one of my favourite pokemon, ever.

Anyway, there's plenty of great designs in legendary Pokemon, my favourites are the Latis, Kyogre and many of the bird-looking ones like the gen 1 trio, Ho-Oh and Yveltal.
