Art style has a HUGE impact on what your opinion of a show will turn out to be. SM's art style lacks details, no shadowing to speak of, is very inconsistent and has shitty colours. All of this just so they can animate it a bit more fluently which has barely been put to action because all the battles are fucking trash from a writing perspective and apart from battles they are only used to make meme reaction face to appeal to toddlers.

When the big majority of people say something is trash, it most likely is fucking trash.

Pathetic, compared to other season's art style SM's art style has a VERY noticeable drop in details, shadowing, consistence and colouring.

SM's battles are unhype trash that often looks bad even though the animation is great. The pokemon's are inconsistent, the writing is trash compared to previous seasons' battles and the for some reason they really fuck up the perspectives you see the battles from.

SM is fucking trash, even compared to most other seasons before it. Buzzwords like "comfy" or "unique" just proves this since examples can't be drawn from these words.
