Detect isnt a TM that every pokemon can learn. Eliminating Protect keeps the pace of the game moving while hurting a lot of cancerous stall builds. Detect is only distributed to 5-6 pokemon that would even benefit from using it.

Trop Kick and High Horsepower. Both moves are just shit versions of already existing moves: Leaf Blade and Earthquake.

Trop Kick has 70 BP and no additional effects, while Leaf Blade has 90 BP and increased critical hit rate. I think that they at least could had created an ability that increases Kick moves power like Punch moves have.

High Horsepower has 90 BP, 90% and can hit one target, while Earthquake has 100 BP, 100%, and hit all Pokémon on battle. At least they could made more Pokémon to learn it through TM.

Darkest lariat might be one of the best physical dark moves in the game but why did GF think it'd be a good idea to do a half-assed spinning lariat for its animation instead of a regular clothesline? Its not like the move hits multiple targets either so the spinning is completely unnecessary.

Many might preffer SR and I completely understand why, but the idea that you can set 3 fucking layers of these things IN TOP OF stealth rock to fuck anything that doesn't fly is just disgusting to me. They'd just run Blizzard instead. Smogon acts like Focus Blast is the ultimate Coverage Move, and Blizzard is close enough to that, just in Ice instead of Fighting. Hell, it's actually better than Focus blast because you can fix it with Hail. I don't see why more people don't run it, actually.
