I always thought that a primal Giratina could be done by using its shadow form and leave it as a mostly undefined darkness silhouette, with glowing red eyes and maybe the spikes, but those were always my least favorite part of its design.

How about the other way around? D/P remakes are more similar to Platinum than their respective original games, featuring looker and all. But, instead of the distortion world, each version has a version exclusive puzzle world (Temporal world and spacial world) with a new form of Dialga and Palkia at the end. If Nintendo was a different company, they'd re-use that cool design Dialga had in Mystery Dungeon 2, but they'd most likely come up with an overdesigned blob of spikes. Giratina gets nothing.

giratina already has two forms and one is required to hold an item. If primal giratina had to hold an item, giratina-origin would become useless (assuming primal giratina gains +100 BST)
