I just have nightmare flashbacks back when AG and DP were airing. Misty fans on forums would constantly claim how "competent and experienced" Misty was as a battler, and how May and Dawn didn't know what they were doing or lost their battles or had "weak" pokemon.

Of course they were mostly judging May/Dawn on the very beginning of their runs when they lost most battles or didn't have more experience yet. But they still did it for years. Now people will think Misty is so strong and that May and Dawn are weak. All those years of defending the characters on the forums was for nothing.

Pikachu is currently undefeated in SM.

We also don't know how Megas are going to be portrayed in SM. XY did really well in showing that Megas were in a League of their own by demonstrating just how powerful they are when compared to regular Pokemon.

I do think we'll see Ash call on one of his Oak mons for the fights, considering 2 Megas VS Ashs current roster aside from Pikachu would be pure annihilation of his team.

If SM follows XY with how Megas are shown then Brock and Misty have aquired real fucking powerhouses, but with Ash having Z-Moves that may be the trick up his sleeve that gives him the W.

Who knows, hopefully we get the actual episode titles in the next few days so we can speculate more in depth. It'd also be nice if we learn the whereabouts of just where the fuck Brock and Misty got their Key Stones and Mega Stones.

I think the reason the SM cast won't go is because it would take too much screentime away from Misty/Brock. This is only for 2 episodes, if Ash brings 5 characters along with him they'll all get lines and dialogue even if they don't do any battling or just stand in the background.

Admittedly seeing Misty and Lana meet because they both like water pokemon would be interesting to see.

It feels like this is an original trio reunion, having the SM cast there would take away from that. For example when Misty appeared in AG it didn't feel like an original trio reunion because May and Max were always there. It just felt like Misty was guest starring with the Hoenn group.
