Are these still the biggest wasted potential in the series? What would it take to make them good again?
>>33392100
Give them a variant of Schooling and an actual movepool.
>>33392100
An "evolution" that requires you have one of each kind in a single box, has doubled stats in everything except Attack (which should be cut to almost zero), and a movepool that is essentially 18 different hidden power moves, one of each type.
being able to connect the letters to spell a type which transforms them into an unown form of that type. spelling fire would create a fire unown, spelling water would create a water unown, etc.

>What would it take to make them good again?
>again
They were never good.
They've been wasted potential since their inception.
>>33392100
Where the exclamation and question mark Unown preannounced for FRLG or did they just show up there?
>>33392100
Their whole existence is for story/world-building purposes; not competitive battling.
>>33392882
Then they should be involved in the story/world-building again, when was the last time they were relevant, the Sinjoh ruins?
>>33392100
Have a sidequest about them. You gotta find all the forms and use them to decode a key item, Rosetta Stone style. The more you find the stronger each Unown becomes. When you complete it, it turns into the Unownite. Boom.

that would be neato
>>33392100
>again
They were always wasted potential
>make them good
Easy, make HP an exclusive move to unkown
Raise it to 80bp
Hp stays psychic type but is always super effective>double typed pokemon take 4xs damage>If the two types share a weakness Hp does 8xs

They were never good and this >>33392882
Also even in Gen 2 they were just there doing nothing, it really feels like they were designed just to sell the 3rd movie.
Sinjoh ruins give them more glory since they actually do something, it'd be nice if there was some subplot involving them as protagonists in the future.
