It's a game for kids. That's why the one to progress is easy and they included a slightly more difficult one in the same space that gives you an item when you do it.

I'm doing the exact same and the enjoyment and comfy levels are absurd.

It made me remind how Pokemon was once at the top of its game and Game Freak actually tried to deliver a balanced and well rounded video game, not a visual novel. It's also actually challenging if you don't grind.

I imagine this was created as a shitpost thread but this image is correct. Dungeons in Pokémon obviously aren't challenging since they're made for kids but they are, in fact, gameplay, which is why the old Pokémon games are more engaging than the later cinematic experiences.

This is literally one of the most memorable parts of Gen 2. I remember playing with my gameboy, spending hours trying to get out of that fucking cave. Don't know how easy it may be now, but I miss little moments like that in modern-day Pokémon. If Ice Path were in Alola, I bet we would explore it... in a cutscene.
