Furthermore, the English name itself references its appearance as a "punching bag."

It doesn't take much logic to assume Wobbuffet is really a tail. The balloon body is an appendage it uses to protect the tail.

Of course it technically has a shiny form coded, but it's literally the same texture as the regular. It'll sparkle when sent out to battle, but otherwise it's no different appearance-wise.
