There are some mons that would benefit a lot from s7 aesthethics.

I think 7th is focused on movement, since 6th tried to go back to basics (and it has good mons, too).

4th and 5th were trying to bring more complex concepts since they already overused the system and wanted to prove their pixel skills.
Which is why it's so bad.
