Durant's awesome. It's not OU, but it can be good. Huge defenses, it has hone claws/hustle for some risk reward shenanigans, it has a great typing, it has pretty good moves from super power/stone edge/crunch/thunder fang/x scissor/and more, Z moves helped it out with Z hone claws which can be made more flexible with Z crunch, fantastic speed.

It also helps shit all over battle facilities

Life orb is great, but don't under estimate Z moves on durant. Z hone claws gives it an extra stage of attack. And if you REALLY need your attack to hit, you can still get the attack boost of hustle and use Z crunch
