I think it's amazing that in almost every metagame for any game, Stall would just be that anti-fun mechanic getting nerfed and banned out the ass and nobody would really miss it.

But because of the special brand of smogon autism, it's actively encouraged AND its heaviest counters are the ones that get banned instead.

Stall as an anti-meta strategy is an inherent part of 6v6 singles throughout the entire Pokemon history, dating back to as early as Gen 1. It's simply M-Sableye and its ability to invalidate every passive anti-Stall measure just by existing that propels it from anti-meta to "how the fuck am I supposed to win against this with my average OU team".
