I can't shit on the Creation Legendaries cuz they're rulers over forces of reality and deserve to be as detailed and complex as they are. Besides that Sinnohmon look totally fine. The crossgen evos are great and really made old weak shitmons cooler and viable in battle.

My issue with most of gen 4's legendaries and mythicals aren't their designs, it's their lore and role in gen 4's story. We absolutely did not need universe-destroying Pokemon gods. That level of strength utterly destroys any suspension of disbelief you can have and their role in the plot felt like gen 3's except right up the power scale. In addition, the lore makes it seem like the pixies only exist so Cyrus can make the plot work. Why were they even created if Dialga/Palkia only go out of control when forced to by people with the red chain? That's incredibly circular.

Giratina is all right, I guess. It's not really a god or anything but for some reason it attacks Cyrus because its home is in danger but then is angry enough to let its home and earth be destroyed anyway. Why?

Manaphy and Phione are a waste of space. Darkrai has a cool concept behind it and I wish the nightmares were explored more. Regigigas is fine, Heatran at least gives you an extra area to explore.

I haven't played DPPt in over two years though so feel free to shit on my opinion or correct me.

I can agree that literal Gods was a real bit far. When I was playing DPPt for the first time it truly felt like the peak of the series. So many legendaries, gods of creation, all for the first time on the on the cool, hip Nintendo DS. But then we got Gen 5 and I would wonder what could top the scale of Sinnoh. How do you take a step after literal Gods? Eventually I just came to accept that hey, Pokemon has a God but who cares about that, we're getting a new mon based on anal discharge this gen. They've lost their initial zing but they're there and they always will be.

The other minor legendaries are pretty cool though. Darkrai, Cresselia, Shaymin, Heatran and Regigigas are all solid. Manaphy, Phione and thr lake trio are all kinda lame though. I have a soft spot for Mesprit after all the time encountering it while roaming.

The Arceus event in HGSS will never not be sick as absolute fuck though.

The Red Chain created from those things on their tail were used to control Dialga and Palkia. I believe Arceus personally created the pixies so maybe the red chain is some kinda aspect of his being used to tame the Time/Space duo by some magical logic. Giratina however wasn't having any of that shit.
