Are you mass breeding to get a shiny? Then whatever the shiny is that you want.

imo avoid Mimikyu, aVulpix, starter route mons, and definitely Magikarp

Drampa/Turtonator/Mareanie are all pretty decent as they are low encounter rate and/or version exclusives. Starters are also generally liked (Gen 2/4 would probably be best)

And sadly I don't think my ID is good for Shinies, so I just focus on high-ish IV's.

Not true. At every encounter there is a 1/8192 chance to get a shiny. Probably same for eggs.
