When shiny pokemon were first introduced back in Gold and Silver, I thought only certain pokemon could be shiny, like Red Gyarados, Crystal Onix, Pink Butterfree, and Black Charizard. So I when I found my first shiny that wasn't one of those, I thought it was a glitch.
