Lol dude there have been dragons since gen 1
>>33366754
Those aren't real dragons, they just have a "dragon aura", at least that's what /vp/ says, just make a thread asking why are Zygarde 10%, Kingdra, Tyrantrum or Goomy dragon types.
I think he's talking about komodo dragons
>>33367236
We just got a Komodo dragon.
>>33366775
>Kingdra
But Dragalge isn't questioned....
They both are "sea dragons".
Never change /vp/.
>>33367251
We got two. Kommo-o and Salazzld

salazzle is a salamander you fuck
>>33367400
No they aren't komodos.
2+2
Still no pokemon pokemon
>>33367426
>that snout
>that tripod posture
>able to learn claw based moves (compare with quagsire)
>amphibians, by definition, breed in water
>lives in a hot, dry environment
do you also think infernape is an ape instead of a monkey?
>>33367451
Kommo-o is a Komodo dumbass
>51+20
>still no game series where you battle, trade and train amazing creatures that can be turned into data and stored into plastic spheres
i think i would call it "ball creatures"
>>33368450
What about it, aside from the name, makes it anything like a Komodo dragon?
>>33367422
I see what you did there
>>33368789
>large grey lizard-like island animal
>covered in armor (osteoderms)
>rounded snout
>strong fighter (roughly half of Komodo dragons' interactions are fighting)
It's not a Komodo dragon played straight (dragon/poison glutton), but very few pokemon are only inspired by one thing.
>>33368428
>sexy
>>33368936
I dont get how people can deny it is a Komodo
>>33370282
It's not a poison type so it couldn't possibly be a Komodo Dragon.
It's a warrior monk who happens to be a generic dragon.
>>33370478
>>33368936
>large grey lizard-like
All dragons are lizard-like
>covered in armor (osteoderms)
Most reptiles and amphibians have osteoderms. Komodo dragons are not known for have extremely tough scales, at least not more so than any other lizard.
>rounded snout
Come off it m8.
You have a point regarding Fighting, but I am very hard pressed to consider it a komodo.
>>33370478
>it's a fire type so it couldn't possibly be a snail
>>33370536
>All dragons are lizard-like
the grey part was the main point, lizard-like is just another generalization to compare the two.
>>33370536
>Most reptiles and amphibians have osteoderms. Komodo dragons are not known for have extremely tough scales, at least not more so than any other lizard.
that's where you're wrong, kiddo. Very few lizards have the amount of osteoderms Komodo dragons do (off the top of my head only gila monsters and beaded lizards hit a similar quantity and quality), i.e. covering the entire body and being large enough to preserve well after the animal dies and the flesh is stripped away. And Komodo dragons are very well known for their osteoderms (frequently described as like a set of "chain mail"); it's one of the major factors that allowed them to survive into the current day, because skin with a bone under each scale is hell to make leather out of.
>Come off it m8.
Literally one of the most distinctive features that set Komodo dragons apart from most other monitors is a blunt, rounded snout. Compare kommo-o's snout to something like salazzle's to get an idea.
If it's just a random dragon, that's a hell of a lot of coincidences.
>>33368428
hey babe, look my pecs
>>33368428
There's a difference between a factual amphibian salamander (Quagsire base) and the mythical fireproof lizard one (Charmander base).
That said, Salazzle is supposed to be more of a monitor lizard.
