Designs are subjective, i think Buzzwole and Pheromosa are overdesigned pieces of shit. Does that make a change? no.

It's not good in competitive. Good. But maybe it's good in game right? By evolving on the last island, somehow changes from charjabug which is mostly a physical attacker with moves like acrobatics to special, even though the totem uses Spark and Bug Bite and the Vikavolt by itself looks like a physical attacker due to it's pincers. But no lets cut it's speed and make it special and by the time you evolve it you probably have a ton of thing better than it. So what's so GREAT about gen 7 bugs? At least decent, but far from the best.

Ultrabeasts being "overdesigned" lend incredibly to their alien nature. They are true blue, genuinely otherworldly monsters that aren't supposed to look like pokemon.
