Any other pokemon with fundamentally broken designs?
Starmie doesn't work since the two stars are fused in the centers and overlap yet in animations the back star can spin around.

How do you know it's not simply choosing not to move it around?
>>33359637
The second star is attached to starmie via psychic powers
I'd bet you think Hoppip is broken for similar reasons.
>>33359637
Can you post some more pics to illustrate what you mean, anon?
>>33359637
>the two stars are fused in the centers
how do you know?
>>33359637
Rhydon has a biological motor, so I think Starmie's got one as well.

There's significant clipping between the two stars in all official 3D models. I didn't notice this until watching it's animations after watching one in PGO last summer.
There's no real way that they could spin with that much overlap.

You know, like this.
I love how wacky the Generation 1 Pokémon are.
>>33359712
>>33359719
Nevermind, that's no motor.
We're really criticisizing Starmie on here. Is nothing sacred?
>>33359712
In other words there's no way Starmie could pull this off without ripping off parts of one star or having a cut line that's further back into one of the stars.
>>33359737
Or the arms of starmie are organic in nature and can bend seeing as how they do in that .gif?
Fuck off, leave the best Gen 1 design alone.
>>33359737
I'm going to assume they're wet and slimy and squishy, since it's a Water Pokémon. They look like they squish a little in that gif too.
If they can squish then there's no problem.

Bend doesn't equal spin. Just face it that it doesn't work. Doesn't mean the design is "bad".
Apparently retard OP thinks Starmie, a starfish, is hard and unending like solid steel.
Starfish are pretty flexible
>>33360151
What do you mean it doesn't work? It could bend vertically to adjust for the the arms in the front. Starfish are very flexible.
>>33360215
yeah i mean actual starfish literally eject their stomachs outside of their bodies to feed on things

DO NOT BULLY THE STARMIE FUCK YOU
>>33360120
He is leaving Slowbro alone, though
>>33360343
Why did starmie get its jewel violently smashed in and busted every time it lost?
>>33360343
Thinking back on it, Misty had a very interesting and unique main Pokemon. Starmie is pretty but not really cute like how most Pokegirls have at least one "cute" main Pokemon/mascot Pokemon. Being a water type trainer left her with tons of interesting choices too.
Then Togepi happened.
