Blastoise still looks creepy but that's because of the structure around the eye itself. It's too rounded. You'd have to redo the whole face. The eye is too depressed. There's no real quick fix for that

I think venusaur should have more pupil showing and less iris. I think it would look better with less iris. It might give it more of a prehistoric wild look that I think looks better with venusaur to counteract the weight.

The guy's entire project is explaining how Pokémon might plausibly exist in the real world (the real world without, say, ghosts or sentient magnets). The way he explains more bizarre Pokémon (like haunted trees or living magnets or ghosts) is that they're actual animals that've been mistaken for supernatural phenomena.

I don't know why people have such a difficult time understanding this, or why his project makes so many people 'sperg out.

Trees in their own right, most plants honestly, are much more "intelligent" than we give them credit for. Sentient, maybe not, but able to act for itself and use it's own defenses if it became mobile? I'd think so. Plants can fucking hear when they're being eaten. They are every bit alive as any animal.

I'd rather have the tree be moved by something that would actually LIVE IN A TREE and use the dead tree as some sort of armor. The octopus is so fucking stupid.

Gastly's huge eyes always looked like butterfly wings to me. I know it’s classified as the “gas pokemon” but I always thought it would be neat if deep inside that gas are the remnants of a burnt out skull being used as a tether to our world by an ethereal being of some sort, and the “eyes” are an intimidation tactic. Squint your eyes if you can't see it.

You all are fucking tripping about that one guy's artwork. Sure he changes the entire "species" of the pokemon, but he's not drawing what realistic pokemon would look like in the pokemon universe, he's drawing them in a way where they could actually exist in our world. There's a lot of pokemon that would make no sense in our world.

Personally I think he does the best job at creating realistic pokemon, 80% of other artist's realistic pokemon look like shit, they're just drawing the pokemon itself with texture on it.
