Yeah I know, it's not intended to be too perfect, it's mostly to lessen how big a difference in power there is so if you choose totally random trainer Pokémon in a randomizer, they'll all be at least somewhat viable. Distribution is what actually matters. It doesn't matter for a physical attacker if its SpA is 1 or 80. On the other hand 120 HP and 80 Def is a lot better than 80 HP and 120 Def. Likewise there's not much difference between 60/60/60 and 70/70/70 bulk for a minmaxed glass cannon.
Also stall is now unbeatable because most of its mons are minmaxed <520BST with reliable recovery and many means of passive damage / hindering moves.

How? Just because it's not as obviously broken as Lele and Koko it doesn't mean it's not good, Choice Band Wood Hammer in Grassy Terrain destroys everything that doesn't resist it and even a decent chunk of things that do. Also you can abuse Grassy Terrain by building a team that revolves around bulky mons that are hindered by a weakness to Earthquake, my Tapu Bulu /Megagross/Toxapex core in early SM OU wrecked shit left and right.

Grass is actually a very shitty defensive type being weak to 5 types, poison, flying, fire, ice and bug, while stats help what makes or break how good a grass type is defensively is his second type (M-Venu, Guss and Thorn) or his abilty (growth and M-Venu).
