Also, the nickname I chose for Chikorita was Sweetsage.

Incineroar is obviously John Incineroar or Incenaroar.

Decidueye is Green Arrowl or Owliver Queen.

Primarina is..... uh, I've got nothing, not even bait.

Personally, I would go either with something like Adolphus, with its long, dark, broad sounds mimicking Donphan's appearance, or a Punic name like Hasdrubal or Hamilco, because of Carthaginian elephant autism
those names are probably out of place for your team though, I usually give my pokemon names from antiquity

Good names, but I am looking for a cuter name for my Phanpy. I typically only use names from antiquity if they're particularly fitting to the actual Pokémon being named.

And I feel like giving Pokémon names of gods and goddesses has become cliché and trite. Those with actual mythological knowledge are no longer original for doing so.

Sometimes cute and clever is all that's needed.

I've usually gone with stampy or tunks ( like trunks but no r)
