There's a piece of land there. Also this huge thick cloud wasn't there on the original map so it's likely hiding something.

Hopefully it's some new post-game battle facility because the Battle Tree looks unchanged.

Could be an island under it, would not bet on it.

Well it's an alolan island so it's bound to have one. Unless they reference it being an even less civilized island than Poni because it doesn't have the protection of a guardian

It's actually the one next to it in the middle that's more relevant.

This is clearly just a cloud designed to look like Dialga. There is one on the upper left like Palkia and in the upper right like Giratina. Just as Ho-oh and Lugia were in the original region images clouds.

However the one in the middle is randomly just there which could that IS hiding something. Probably not considering their recent design philosophy, but far more likely than cloudialga.
