Comfy Johto Thread

Probably Ekruteak. Captures Johto and its peaceful, traditional nature perfectly. And it's close to some of my other favorite areas. Getting to Goldenrod, the Park, or Olivine is an easy trip.

This. Even if Johto feels empty gameplay wise it was a nice designed region and comfy as fuck, I remember when I was 8 years old playing with my GBC and telling my parents I wanted to live there. Olivine and Ekruteak are my favorites, and they are near.

Village Bridge

Ecruteak for me too, that or Azalea. I remember back in the day on Crystal getting my shit kicked in by Stantlers just outside of Goldenrod and pushing madly through the grass, trying to run and being unable to, and nearly having my whole team faint. Getting into Ecruteak was the biggest sigh of relief in my life and I still get an intense feeling of safety and comfort from hearing the quiet, slow town theme. Meeting Bill, going to the towers and watching the kimono girls dance are all top tier moments too.

Definitely Ecruteak City. My favourite city of all Pokemon games.

The suburbs between Goldenrod, Ecruteak and Violet. Super cozy, no particularly dangerous wild Pokemon, plenty of trainers to battle, and within biking distance of the region's best cities. I can easily walk to the Pokémon world's best public park.

Violet city for sure. It still captures the whole johto vibe and is close to the national park so goldenrod wouldn't be too far either. I prefer it over ecru teal because I feel like that place would suffer from too much tourism
