Hey /vp/, long time no see
Is there any way to hack event items into Gen 4 games these days? As in stuff like Oak's letter, azure flute and etc. etc. I'd really like to do the event than just making a mon and sending it over.

Fair enough, is there anyway to spoof an event/mystery gift without any extra hardware? I remember a while back that distributing pokemon was a thing in /vp/, is it possible to do the same for an event?

pkhex to edit your save on pc, project pokemon has all the event files
hacked 3DS can inject/dump saves from real DS carts with twlsavetool
but best way to hack a 3DS is via flashcart anyway so you can play the roms off that and just copy/paste the sav file from the flashcart sd

Nope, ever since they nuked the GTS, this shit got harder to do.
I regret not sending myself more event mons. Some of them have since become incredibly valuable (i.e., Spiky-eared Pich).

Pokemon trading with strangers has no value because anything can be hacked, unless you can't hack yourself, you're probably happy to get whatever rare mon if it's just for local play.
Legit trading only matters between friends/internet circle jerks who can blacklist you if they think your shit is hacked for some reason.

Open it on PC using PKHeX
Edit ahoy.
Restore save.
