He fired a massive death-gun at himself for no reason instead of using his one shot for something remotely beneficial to his goal. He could've fired it at a volcano or a large city or something at at least gotten a little bit of his genocide dream, and without killing himself to boot, but instead he made one of the stupidest decisions ever made in a pokemon game.
