I agree 100%. Nidoking is an upgraded Rhydon, and Rhyperior is a downgraded Rhydon. Rhyhorn is great. I wish it was better 2bh so i could use it w/ eviolite in the games.

Im not him but this pokemon made me like pokemon as a whole when I saw him in the anime. So yeah, the design is 10/10 and its true that Rhydon ruins it because its literally a dinosaur with a horn and loses all of its plates, which is the best part of its design along with its cool looking head shape.

To be fair, Rhydon's initial design from Red & Green was pretty cool, and a logical progression from Rhyhorn. It's just that they became lazier and lazier with drawing and modeling Rhydon as the series went on. Rhyhorn was spared that fate and always stayed an incredible, perfect design.
