The background is different because Kommo-o is using its exlusive z-move.
My theory is Totem pokemon will have exlusive Z-moves. That's explain Mimikyu and Lycanroc in the first trailer. If you see carefully, the background is Vast Poni Canyon and Kommo-o is the Totem there.
